Self immolations represent the frustration of Tibetans and need of time was to act sensibly without a pre set mindset said Acharya Yeshe, A known Tibetan lobbyist and member of existing Tibetan parliament in exile.
While giving his assessment for current situation Acharya Yeshe said situation was grim and was high time for Chinese officials to understand that repression of Tibetans inside Tibet would only add to sufferings of Tibetans and problems of Chinese rule inside Tibet.
Acharya also said that self immolation represented frustration of Tibetan youth inside Tibet under Chinese occupation. At the same time this also showed the desperation Tibetan people had towards return of HH Dalai Lama to Tibet.
Acharya Yeshe also expressed his disappointment towards the attitude of China’s neighboring countries towards Tibetans and issue of Tibet.
